South Florida Family Photographer

Recently, I blogged a session of the Underwood Family from Last Thanksgiving when I was visiting my family in Louisville for the holidays.  This time I had them in front of my camera again, a mere 6 months later to capture little Liam for his 1 year birthday. If I didn’t have a 1 year old myself, I’d be shocked at how quickly he grew in six months! But it no longer surprises me how fast time flies and how quickly they grow bigger and cuter, and sweeter!

This session worked perfectly because Lindsey is also my hair dresser, (that’s right, I still travel from South Florida to Louisville to get my hair done…that’s how AWESOME she is) and right after an appointment I had with her, we drove to her house near by to take these photos. Josh, Lindsey, Logan and Liam are such a sweet little family and these are some of my favorite images from the day. The Priddy Family | South Florida Family Photographer

My family is very important to me, and some days I really miss being in such close proximity to them as I once was. Before moving to South Florida, I only lived about 10 minutes drive from every family member and now I’m an 18 hour drive or a 2 hour flight! It’s been especially hard lately knowing that my sister Erin has welcomed her 2nd son, Tyler Marcum, into the world and I missed the arrival, as well as watching him grow. But when I visited back in April I was able to take some really precious family pictures that included Tyler and her soon to be 13 year old son Austin (whom I’ve blogged about in the past regarding his struggles with autism). Austin was thought to be the only child my sister and brother in law would have, so Tyler is a true blessing, and Austin is loving having a new younger brother. These are some sweet family photos taken just outside their front door. I love that they have a large open field right next to their home! (Although it’s a burden to them, it’s a photographers dream backdrop, LOL)

Brittany and Richie | Miami Wedding Photographer

My friend Julie is a wonderful photographer (she photographed my wedding 3 months ago!) and she’s a very dear friend. I’m happy to share that just two days ago she gave birth to her beautiful baby boy Logan, but before then she was working non-stop while 8-9 months pregnant! She had one final wedding booked before going on her maternity leave, but she was going to be 8 months along at the time and knew that it was going to be  a challenge. In the early days of pregnancy she went to her clients and gave them the news because her due date would be just weeks away from their wedding day, but they were amazing people who knew they still wanted her to shoot their wedding if she could, so they agreed to play it by ear and allow her to hire a substitute photographer if necessary. That’s where I come in! Julie was still able to photograph the wedding and the events leading up to the ceremony, but myself and my friend Rachael tagged along to help her out as much as we could which included sending Julie home early in the reception to prop up those pregnant lady feet while we covered the remainder of the day’s events.

Brittany and Richie had a beautiful wedding on the beach in Sunny Isles, and I was happy to be there to help Julie photograph it. These are just a few of the images that stuck out to me as I sorted through them before handing them over to Julie.
